Rock group The Peace Creeps is fronted by Richard Bush, former lead singer of 80’s band The A’s. Having dealt with record label problems, Bush moved onward and upward to rebuild his career. He sequestered himself in a woodshed with only his guitar as company and a new writing partner. With the help of guitarist John Marchiano, drummer Bruce Rogers and the bass and zeetar stylings of Michael Vogelman, the Peace Creeps were born. The Peace Creeps feature a heady mix of Elvis Costello-like wit, Faces-like looseness and the wide open pop sensibilities of the Beatles. In 2006, the group released their debut, entitled Autumn of Love. Website: www.peacecreeps.com
Based out of Philadelphia, PA, the Adam Monaco Band fuses many different styles and influences to expand the horizons of traditional singer/songwriter music. Their upbeat and lyrical blend of folk rock has engaged audiences regionally and allowed them the opportunity to share the stage with national touring acts.
The Adam Monaco Band’s undeniable energy and consistent sound has made them a quick favorite of live music lovers in Philadelphia. Songs from the E.P., From Here to There, have been featured on 88.5 XPN, Philadelphia gauge for the next up and coming local artists. Website: www.adammonaco.com
Jim George’s strong, soulful, sandpapery voice is the centerpiece of a potent mix of crunchy rock ‘n ‘roll, blues and classic soul/R&B not heard since the heyday of Humble Pie, Rod Stewart & the Faces, and Free. Voted “Standout Performer June 2008” in Philadelphia’s World Café Live’s “Philly Rising” competition, the high-octane singer-guitarist is backed by an ace rhythm section, featuring Nick S. Squire on bass and Oz Christ on drums.
His songs have been used on such network television shows as “The Secret Life of The American Teenager,” “Burn Notice,” “My Name is Earl,” and “Vanished” and in the independent feature film “Neo Ned.” Whether headlining or heating up audiences for such names as Ian McLagan, Savoy Brown, Walter Wolfman Washington, Gary Hoey and Eddie Money, the pint-sized performer — whose trademark is his singing introductions — delivers the goods with an impassioned gospel-like intensity which cuts across all demographic lines.
